Multitool with extras Needed a multitool to lift some glued down flooring without damaging the neighbouring pieces and this was the tool for the job. It is a compact but powerful unit that handles well when working. Its built in light is useful when working in tight areas and its variable speed control was a bonus when lining up cuts before applying full power. The quick tool release is well made and gives confidence that the tool is gripped because you can see the grip pins engaging. After working the multitool hard it does warm up slightly however, I was cutting solid oak with it and it never slowed up. 11 May 2015
A must have bit of kit I bought this to replace a Bosch battery one that I had (battery life was rubbish and died quickly). When I got this out the bag, which is a bonus and is a good size (I have a smaller one that had 2 drills in) I used it to cut a hole out in a laminate floor and through the floor board. I was well impressed with the power and also how quick t was. The price is really good as well and I must ay I am very glad I bought it. It wont get used a lot but when it does it will definitely be worth it. One tip as well, as it takes other manufacturers blades. Go for the Erbauer ones in the Screwfix catalogue. They are lot cheaper and last longer. The DeWalt one supplied didn't last long at all. 4 May 2015
Great tool What did I do without this? No more chisels, drilling holes in corners and trying not to splinter the wood when cutting out notches. Needed to cut notches into a skirting board to allow a new hearth to be fitted. Carried out this task so easily. I went through 2 blades, but then again, I did hit the plaster! Only given 4 stars for reliability as I've only had it 2 days. 4 May 2015

Answer:
Hi, the trigger can only be locked at maximum speed but it is possible to hold the trigger for constant lower speeds while using the tool.

Answer:
Hi there,
I would not recommend using this type of tool to remove mortar as it isn't powerful enough and also there isn't the correct accessory to do the job. (tile adhesive & grout is not a problem)
To remove old mortar I would recommend using a mortar rake like 77719 or 25598 and I would also recommend using an extraction vacuum as this job will create a lot of dust.
