Rated 5 out of 5 by Good tool Great tool for the job I am doing Would recommend to others 5 Feb 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great tool excellent would recomend to anyone great value for money 1 Feb 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by extremely useful This came into it's own when dealing with a protruding nail beneath an Architrave and a pipe. The clip on cutter was perfect to overcome the problem, and I cannot think of any other tool (in my vast collection!) that could have dealt with the problem safely; excellent versatility! 4 stars instead of 5 because the sander attachment could be better. 16 Nov 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by All round a good piece of kit Pros: Strong, lots of power, low vibration. Tool-free change of attachments (but only for DeWalt-specific accessories). Other makes of accessories can be used with the supplied adapter that uses an Allen key. Cons: Hair-trigger - the slightest touch and it starts - seems too sensitive. Supplied sander pad accessory is poor. I've now had this multi-cutter for more than 6 months. Mostly used for cutting wood and plastic and some sanding. Review rating is for the tool, not the included accessories. All round, it's a good piece of kit. The cutter starts at the slightest touch on the trigger, I would prefer a higher pressure at start-up. The tool-free accessory change holds the accessory very positively – no risk of slipping or coming loose. The sanding pad (backing-plate) accessory is poor. It has a hook & loop system but quickly I found the hooks melted at the triangular tips. Either the tool is too powerful for the accessory or the hooks are made of a very low melting-point plastic. Running at half-speed or less maybe is necessary to preserve the pad, but I have not bought a DeWalt replacement so cannot confirm if this would work. I'm using an Erbauer pad instead and maybe this works better because it's only 80mm size, rather than the 93mm of the DeWalt, so less stress on the triangular tips. 6 Oct 2015

Answer:
Hi There
The difference is the KT version comes in a DEWALT TSTAK kit box with a lot more accessories provided (it works out cheaper than buying the accessories separately), The actual tool is the same machine.
The extra accessories are...
4 extra wood/metal blades
1 Grout removal blade
dust extraction adaptor
dust collector
Straight cut guide
Depth Stop

I hope this helps

Hi there, thanks for the question,
You won't be able to use an oscillating tool to remove tiles from a wall as there are no blade that can reach underneath a tile but they can be used to remove grout from between the tiles when doing repair work or once the will comes off you can use the tool to scrape the remaining adhesive off the walls.

Answer:
While I have not done this, I would expect the included rigid scraper blade to be able to do what you want. Risk remains, however, that the plasterboard still will be too badly damaged to be reused.

Answer:
Hi there,
I would not recommend using this type of tool to remove mortar as it isn't powerful enough and also there isn't the correct accessory to do the job. (tile adhesive & grout is not a problem)
To remove old mortar I would recommend using a mortar rake like 77719 or 25598 and I would also recommend using an extraction vacuum as this job will create a lot of dust.

Answer:
While I have not done this, I would expect the included rigid scraper blade to be able to remove mortar (but not cement or concrete). The blade is sharp and quickly will be blunted on the mortar but it should continue to do the job.
