Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent compact drill set The drill and impact gun are compact with a low powered battery but not let this put you off. The set is very capable and is ideal for the budding DIY'er. Dewalt are very reliable and have used them in work for years. I wouldn't hesitate buying another set. 4 Jan 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by bad battery came on looking for makita product as recommended by an Old tradesman at work, saw this and thought it was a good deal, bought it after reading reviews! well what a load of tosh they are! after 1st charge managed to get 12 roofing bolts in before battery went flat! charging again now, will come back on and edit if there's an improvement tomorrow, don't hold your breath. 1 Jan 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dewalt 10.8v drill and impact Used these two drills all day on the first day of purchase, cannot fault them in any way, more powerful than most drills (impact drivers) that I have used with a higher voltage:)) Very lightweight any easy to use in compact spaces. 19 Nov 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's a beast We use these in work in an engineering environment stripping/rebuilding conveyors and cranes. The impact wrench is a beast. I was so impressed I went out and bought a kit for myself. I used it to completely strip down and rebuild my 1940's Allis Chalmers Tractor when I renovated it. I really wouldn't be without it. If I had to choose between this impact wrench and the dog then I have to say i'd have to let the missus go : ) 1 Oct 2015

Answer:
Depending on the size screws you are using you could use this to do decking screws but using a higher voltage tool like a 14.4v or 18v Impact Driver would probably make it a bit quicker and easier as you would get a lot more done on a single battery charge.
Personally I would go for something like 57142 which is the latest 18V Brushless Twin Kit but other suitable twin kits would be 35108, 78457, 62046, 69807 or 2303D.

Answer:
Hi there, Ideally if you are thinking of drilling into masonry/brick work then you would require a combi drill as you would need the percussion/hammer function on the drill and these 2 drills are only a drill driver (suitable for drilling into wood and metal work + screw driving) and an impact driver which are design for screw driving and bolt driving.
Ideally you would be looking for something like 17468, 7438G, 13165, 1544F or even step up to a Brushless combi 94484.

Answer:
Hi, thank you for the question, to register your product for the 3 year warranty you can either go to the website stated on the Yellow card that should be with the instructions or if you click on this link
http://www.dewalt.co.uk/mydewalt/login/
it will take you straight to the page on our website where you can register.
Just click on Register, then submit a user name that you would like to use and enter your email address twice.
Once this is done you will receive an email with a link that you can follow to continue the registration.

I hope this helps
