Rated 4 out of 5 by DeWalt Drill A little hard to give an informed review of this product as it is still fairly new. Screwfix forced a rating for reliability after only 3 days of use! Therefore I give it "good" as it has not yet died ;-) On first use it seems typical of DeWalt drills. Well built, plenty of torque... For the price, it is perfect for what I want it for. The 3 year warranty is good too. 26 Apr 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Versatile Drill I already own an 18V De Walt drill with two batteries and thought I would buy the same to save me changing from drill to screwdriver mode too often. The model I already own (and am happy with) wasn't available so I purchased the DCD776C2-GB 18V 1.3Ah ..wise choice. Going up a model the thing I notice is the same good balance in the hand and am surprised by the torque in these drills. Not so great I think the switches are a little 'notchy' and the battery connection into the charger not as solid as the other drill. All this said, I would recommend this as an everyday workhorse tool. 19 Apr 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good drill for the money Really happy with the drill, lightweight with various settings and 2 batteries. Have been using it for quiet heavy / continuous usage for the past 2 month and its stood up to it, Drilling seasoned wood, bricks, ridge tiles e,c,t. Comes in a nice dewalt case. Would highly recommend for the price. 31 Mar 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by DeWalt DCD776C2-GB 18V Dewalt are known for quality and durability. Not here though. As an electric screwdriver its great, as a masonary drill its not. I used a brand new high quality 6mm masonary drill bit in hammer mode/ not hammer mode into hardiebacker 12mm concrete board and the chuck loosened itself repeatedly. Tightening up the chuck as hard as i could still resulted in the mechanism working itself loose. Noticible by the clatter. If you back off the trigger quickly it snatches, clatters and works loose. One of the batteries doesn't hold a charge either. Returnd to Screwfix who will return it to DeWalt for repair as its beyond 30 days purchase. Total usage time < 1hr. 7 Mar 2016
