Rated 3 out of 5 by lasted 2 months! Bought this purely on price. It worked well for the 1st few uses then I noticed the battery life started to dwindle then after owning it for 2months one of the batteries has completely failed and wont charge and the other lasts 10mins..charging time is now over 90mins for the working battery. Returning it to screwfix in the morning...i won't accept a replacement. 29 Jan 2016

Answer:
Hi There
You wouldn't be able to use SDS bits in a standard chuck you would need to purchase standard shank masonry drill bits, something like 88598 would be a good set for concrete/masonry drilling with sizes covering the most common sizes 4, 5, 6, 8 & 10mm.

I've tried to find the serial number on my drill, but it isn't where the DeWalt website says it should be.

Anyone else found it? I'd like to register my drill for the warranty, but DeWalt seem to have made it impossible due to the missing Serial Number.

Answer:
Hi There
The serial number should be underneath where the battery connects.
If you hold the drill upside down with the chuck pointing away from you the serial number and date stamp should be on the flat bit opposite the battery terminal connections.
If you have any questions please contact the Screwfix contact centre on 0500 414141 and they will be able to forward you in the right direction.
