DeWalt DC500 300W 7.5Ltr Corded / Cordless Site Vacuum Cleaner 240V
worst purchase ever
I bought this Dewalt hoover as I thought it would be great for my job. I bought it in May 2010 and now on my 3rd one. When used for the first time it was brilliant for wet hoovering. I packed it all away like it says and used it bout 3 weeks later and it would not suck. I had to send it off for repair at Dewalt. They fixed it and used it twice. I returned it to the Screwfix branch where they gave me a brand new one. I used this one once, again brilliant but the second time it never sucked. I have returned that one and now on my 3rd in 5 months. If this one fails I will be returning and have to get a different one. So frustrating especially in my job. Seems to be when it gets wet its no use, so whats the point in calling it wet & dry.

works well under workbench
I have positioned this under my workbench and with an added 3 metre long hose (originally for doing stairs) its great for a quick cleanup after cutting. The switch is on top and easily accessible and the machine holds a lot of dirt. Its also great for attaching to power tools that have an exhaust connection like the Dewalt power saw or a planer.

Don't get sucked in by this 1
OK .. a battery operated site cleaner looks like a great idea but it won't leave you with a smile on your face even when connected to the mains.
You may get away with cleaning up a little bit of dust but anything more and you'd be better with a dust pan and brush.
NOT IMPRESSED and feel let down by Dewalt who I generaly trust with the rest of my tool kit.
