Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what is says Pump was easy to install. But if it does break down, do not remove the end covers to check for residue in the flow valve as that will invalidate your warranty.

Hello Ronnie,
All the our pumps come with the anti-vibration hoses and the seals to connect them to the pump and the pipework, if you need to install things in your system i.e a flange this would need to be purchased separately, if you would like to discuss this you can call our technical team on 0191 516 2002 and we will be happy to help.

Kind Regards
Lee Harrison

Also, the bath in a separate bathroom is very weak and slow to fill, would this work for a bath too?

Answer:
It's a little difficult from your question to work out what type of hot water system you have as you mention both gravity fed and combi.

The CT55 wouldn’t be suitable for a combi system. For that type of system we would advise either to increase the flow of water via a cold water storage tank to an ESP55 to the combi, or a Home boost increasing the mains to the combi up to the 12/m.

We can give you more advice on which of our pumps would be suitable if you want to give us a call on 0191 516 2002.

Answer:
Unfortunately you wouldn’t be able to use the CT55+Xtra as this is a positive head pump and requires a natural flow rate of 2 litres per minute which you wouldn’t be able to achieve through an electric shower and due to this the pump would either pulse on and off, or it wouldn’t come on at all.

You could instead use a ESP80 which is negative head and activates on a pressure drop so as soon as you call for water the pump will come on and force the water through.

The ESP80 is 2.4 bar which is an average mains pressure and is enough to power a electric shower with a standard sized head.

Please get back in contact if you need any further guidance.
