Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value and good quality. Minimum 2 coats will cover original paint, a third for perfection. Super smooth, consistent and blob free.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your time or money I purchased 4 of these 10lt tubs for a whole house refurb. My decorator spent days going over adding more and more coats because it was so thin you could virtually see through each coat. Ended up with between 6 and 7 coats on each wall, after 3 bedrooms we threw it away and used Leyland Trade instead. What I saved on the cost of the paint I spent tenfold on labour. I will never buy Crown again and cannot believe that they can even sell this product because it is such poor quality.

Is this paint suitable for new plaster, if first coat is watered down .

Asked by: tobytoby
The paint is suitable to use once the plaster is thoroughly dry: Skimmed plaster takes 4 weeks to thoroughly dry out. Full plaster ( full bond coat and finish plaster on to block /brick can take up to 9 months to thoroughly dry out. If a coating is required prior to these timescales then a proper trade coating specifically for new plaster should be used. (ie Crown trade covermatt which is designed to allow moisture and salts to migrate out from the coating without damaging the paint film)

Can this paint be wiped down if it gets any marks on it?

Asked by: LeighBeds79
Hi, unfortunately standard matt can not be wiped down as it is not durable enough. Crown CRM Team
