does this come with a suitable wall plug?

Asked by: fjajsjsjd18wdj

what raw plugs are recommended for 6x50mm coach screws

Asked by: wayne53
Hello wayne53, You can use any wall plugs designed for a 6mm screw. We have a whole range, and what you choose is down to personal preference, what you're fixing the screw into, and the load you're putting on it. A couple of examples suitable for 6mm screws can be found on product codes : 18493, 48521 & 20669 Thank you for using Q&A

What size pilot hole in a soft wood joist is required for a 10mm coach screw?

Asked by: Arkady
Hello Arkady. Normal rule is, half the thickness of the bolt being used, so possible 4 or 5mm pilot hole.

Why doesn't it tell you it's M8 in the title... Just 8 normally means a screw gauge/head size.. The shank of the coach screw is 8mm diameter and the head is 13 mm

Can I just screw it straight into the wall?

I need to fix my tv (about 18 kg) on the wall so can I just drill and use it or do I need add plugs too?
Asked by: Gfiesta
To add a note it's on Plasterboard with no studs. Basically it's plasterboard, gap and then insulation (thick) and then finally brick.

Why dont you state the size of these coach screws in the title so that it isnt so easy to order the wrong ones?

Both the M6 and M8 A2 stainless coach screws are called exactly the same thing - result is I ended up with M8 when I wanted M6! Its only when I checked the see more info button that I realised I had ordered the wrong size!

What size pilot hole do you need for these?

Asked by: Bakeryman
