Good budget tap and die set, good for cleaning up damaged threads, though not so good for cutting new ones! If you need a basic set this is good value with a range suitable for most common metric thread including coarse and fine pitch.

I had the misfortune to need this item and bought expecting the kit to have all the drills for all the taps at the correct drill size!!!!! Oh no it dont. I only had the catalogue as was away from home and that did not list everything the kit contained. I was trying to drill and tap for M8 this kit does not contain a tapping drill for this or many of the other sizes .
Hope i win the review prize so i can get my money back

I found the long handle tap wrench to be of poor quality, in that it did not hold the taps tight enough to allow proper use.

I bought this set of taps and dies in an emergency as I needed something quick to clean up a thread on a bolt and its hole. At the time I didn't know what pitch I needed, so I bought this 51 piece set as it should have covered most of the bases.
Sadly, even though the set had the size and pitch die I needed, it couldn't cut butter. The pitch on them is also very slightly off, so once it gets part way on a bolt, or a tap down in a hole, it will bind up.
The tap holder won't hold and turn the tap once it meets some resistance.
The pitch identifier tool has the pitch markings missing on around half of the blades, and is smooth.
You may be able to use this for some things, maybe some very soft mild still or in aluminium (although, if the pitch is off...) - I wasn't expecting the set's contents to be fantastic, but otherwise I would say it's really not fit for purpose.
In this case, you really do get what you pay for, and if you do decide to buy this set, just bear in mind what I have said and what you intend to use it for.
