I bought this as a direct replacement for my Waterside MC 250 which started leaking after 21years constant use.......nothing lasts like it used to!. The new one went in seamlessly and was really easy to programme. I tested the water with the hardness kit, which showed it to be harder than the Anglian water figures. So far so good , it's been in since sunday and no complaints so far!

Was easy to fit and set up, I did fit a 3/4 brass tank adapter though and 3/4 hosetail with flexi hose for overflow instead of plastic fitting provided. Installed and working ok so far only been in 2 days though so cannot comment on long term reliability
Almost seemed too easy to program only time, hardness and recharge time needed piece of cake.

This softener, whilst not the cheapest on the market, is a very good product. I found it easy to install and set up. It is fully automatic, so it is efficient on salt use, only regenerating when needed. The display shows you how much charge is left before regen, and it also tells you when it's out of salt. It comes with the plumbing kit and hoses needed to hook it up, but remember that you will need a bypass valve to provide a way around it in case of issues. The salt hopper is "dry" and at the front of the machine, making it easy to refill if it's in a kitchen cabinet like mine. My only gripe is that the lid containing the electronics kept falling off when during install and when I take the salt refill lid off, but that was easy fixed with a wee dod of Blutak.

Very easy to install. Had to ask them a question after the install and BWT replied to my email the same day.
Unit works well for our 300ppm hard water making showers much more skin friendly.
Neutral on the reliability review as have only operated it for one day.
