Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hopeless, don't even consider Bought this sink waste plus similar unit without overflow for a two bowl sink to replace original Blanco waste units. When water goes into the sink, the weight of water closes the strainer plug rather than staying up to allow water to drain out. Both started doing this from new and now after 4 weeks, both close with the slightest amount of water so have to physically hold strainer up each time to allow water to drain from sink. Poor design uses small rubber sleeve/grommet to hold waste open. Blanco units use a ball bearing indent to achieve positive open or close position. Going to have to order Blanco units to replace these as fed up holding wastes up to drain water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sink Strainer An easy to fit well made product, the metal centre fastening screw that holds is the strainer in place is far stronger than the original plastic one that broke and was the reason I needed to change it, highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Kitchen sink waste I have installed a new kitchen sink but this kitchen waste strainer doesn't have an overflow pipe inside which is no good if it's a new install. Had to return it unfortunately otherwise the price was fine.

What is the diameter / depth of the actual basket?

The basket on my waste is broken. The waste fitting is OK but I am happy to buy the whole fitting if the basket will just pop into my existing fitting.
Asked by: Chas13
Hello Chas13, The diameter of the basket is 81.5mm and the depth is 13.5mm. Thank you for using Q&A.

Can this waste unit be used to replace a Tweeny Waste Disposal Unit which no longer functions

If this fits , it is an obviously much less expensive option to supplying a nother waste disposal unit
Asked by: Natelizzie
Hello Natelizzie, Unfortunately we would not be able to advise if this product could be a direct replacement, however if the diameter of the hole in your kitchen sink is 90mm in diameter then this product would be suitable for use with the sink. Thank you for using Q&A.

what size is this please.

Hi can someone tell me if this will fit a standard kitchen sink which has a 40mm diameter hole. Also does this catch all debris to stop it from going down the sink allow you to empty the bits into a bin. Cheers.JJ
Asked by: Blue69
Hello Blue69, This strainer is designed to fit a 90mm hole, which is standard for the strainer wastes. Strainer wastes are designed to catch the debris and prevent it going down the hole. Some small pieces, like rice for example, may get through while water is draining but the majority will be collected in the basket. Thank you for using Q&A.
