Brushed Stainless Steel Sink Strainer Waste
Nice, but no overflow blanks!
Bought to replace an old leaking waste on a kitchen sink. Went in very easily and is of good quality. Only complaint is that this doesn't include a blanking plug for the overflow, and I wasn't able to find one at the local builders supply either (odd size? I measure it about 22mm inner diameter). Ended up getting some 3mm rubber sheet and cutting to size, bit of a faff but works fine. Would recommend despite this though.

I tried this and 97562. Both tended to "fall" closed under the weight of water, so you have to hold them open to drain the sink.
I eventually found a Blanco one somewhere else which is better designed (has a ball-bearing in the strainer shaft). A couple of quid more, but well worth it.
This is no slight on Screwfix as I think it's a great company with good products, and is always the first place I look for anything.

Old one broke, this fitted perfectly and no leaks first time ! just make sure you don't tighten the middle bolt too tight - don't want to risk breaking the plastic fitting.

Down the plug 'ole
Perfectly good piece and 'does as it says on the tin'. Very easy to fit. Good seal first time.
For the average DIYer, it did not come with fitting instructions.
