Bristan Quest Bath / Shower Mixer Tap
good for the money
I bought this because we had 2 seperate bath taps to which we had to try and attach a rubber hose. rather than go the expense of fitting an electric shower (with all the extra plumbing that entails) I wanted a mixer tap with shower attachment. I fitted this with no plumbing experience whatsoever, just a few UTube videos, and with the use of some Ptfe tape managed to secure it with no leaks at all. my only slight complaint is the cradle for the shower head that they supplied was a bit weedy and the shower head does not sit snugly.

solid well made easy to use
Really well made tap easy to use and looks really good. used to replace thermostatic shower that was leaking as a temporary replacement but kept running it as you can have the water much hotter when needed. Very solid and reliable had it for about a year and a half before moving. You can operate the taps with one finger on and off, no chance of over tightening the taps when switching off.

Don't get scalded
Got these taps to replace bath pair and provide over bath shower. Good pressure, but very difficult to get a suitable temperature for showering. The cold tap part is very difficult to adjust gradually and you can get either freezing or very hot spray unless you fiddle about for ages. For safety, it would be better to buy a mixer with integral thermostat.

The good shower mixer
Bought this to replace existing bath taps, and match monobloc on basin. Easy to order and fit delivered in 2 days. good length shower hose connection which makes an ideal over bath shower feels well made, good value for money and if your replacing or installing a shower mixer a good choice modern simple looks chrome plate looks like it will last . Works fine on combi boiler pressure. :)
