Bristan Quality? NO WAY!!
Have had more trouble with this expensive quality (so say) tap than I've ever had in my life!!!
installed Aug 2015, moderate family use by three people.after about 1 year of use the tap mechanism began to stiffen, to the point where it was almost impossible to turn on via the lever . after constantly wriggling the handle it seemed to loosen off a little. Dec 2016 16 months use the handle came off, found its a small grub screw holding the handle in place , whilst off i greased the top part of the spindle to try and loosen /ease the amount of pressure needed to make the tap work, seemed to loosen up again slightly. Today almost 18 months after buying a top quality tap the mechanism itself will not work at all it will not turn off the water , I had to resort to the isolating valve to turn off. there seems no apparent reason for this apart from a poorly designed valve and actuating mechanism, would i buy this again not likely,i am about to replace this garbage with a cheap alternative which no doubt will last as along as i want it to last.
