lotta uummpphhh This combi drill has a lot of grunt and the batteries (4.0 Ah) charge quickly (60-80 mins) and last ages. This is the perfect middle ground drill to complement my 36V SDS and the 10.8V driver I have. I have tried the drill in timber & masonry and it is excellent. With a decent bit in it, it was not far behind my 36V SDS in the speed it drilled at. Although the brick I drilled into was pretty soft I reckon. The drill has a 13mm chuck, some cheaper Bosch have a 10mm which would be no good for me and auger bits. The hammer action sounds a lot better than previous hammer drills I have had in the distant past. It sounds tighter than previous drills is the best way I can explain it. On the hole the build quality is excellent and it is very weighty for its size. This has got a lot of poke for the size. I pretty much always buy Bosch and have 6 of their blue pro power tools. They have rarely let me down. 23 Dec 2013
Great Combi First 18v combi ive owned. obviously used other peoples in the past. The weight, size and comfortability of it is excellent not to mention the incredible 2x4.0ah batts that come with it, for £250, dont think thats half bad compared to milwaukee 4.0 range being £350+, but then millwaukee drills are pretty special. The torque and power of it is pretty impressive and absolutely ploughs through most materials and as a sparks im using it sometimes the whole day through on some installs, drilling various size holes and dont even worry about changing the batt. The size is prefect for inbetween joints and getting in to them tight spaces. However, when it comes to dong the hammer action it not the best, soft brick/concrete is great but compared to a colleges makita BHP451, id be there too long trying to do one hole on some harder bricks/concrete. Just been testing it out really over this first week seeing what it can do but for those materials got to switch to a corded SDS really, unfortunate when your up a ladder. Was torn between this and the dewalt DCD785C2-GB 18V XR which in store seemed extremely powerful and many reviews on here and other trades on sites that have them. still not sure if ive really made the right decision, just to have that tiny bit more power for harder bricks but that is literally all i can put it down for. It is a really great drill. All in all though if you've all ready got a corded SDS and fancy a really comfortable, lightweight, long lasting, good spec drill (all but the real hard brick), id give this ago 14 May 2013
