As an Electrician, this has no end of uses, from cutting in boxes in dry lining to cutting the tongue from floorboards, this is ideal. However, it does have a couple of issues - the little clips that hold the batteries in place snap off very easily, the vibration of the tool alone is enough to cause this, also, the batteries run out very fast under heavy use and then take ages to charge. Unless you need the cordeless version, do yourself a favour and buy the mains one, which then overcomes both of the above issues.

After 20+years working as an electrician, I've used most tools and know most of the tricks used in the industry to make life easier, but this tool just makes life so much better in so many different ways!! Theres NO way I could list them all but take my word for it once you've used this tool you'll wonder how you ever got the job done in time without it!!!
Never before has one tool done so much for so many in such a little time.
The only down side is you will spend most of your time trying to get it back from people that have borrowed it for a quick job, they never want to give it back and always have another job it will be great for!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by kevhill VERY USEFULL TOOL-Electrician
would not have thought of it as a tool in my tool bag, but comes out often, knife through butter when it comes to cutting floorboards to joists and does away with those time consuming floor board saws, good at cutting plaster board for use of dry line and metal back boxes with aid of chisel. only problem is that batt dies fairly quick

Very good useful tool, replacement blades expensive. Even though 2 x batteries were supplied in the box if you are using them on a frequent, regular basis they don't last as long as Bosch would have you believe. After 10-12 uses (within 4 months) of the GOP one of the batteries has stopped working (not very good at all). Like a previous reviewer - I would recommend the purchase of a 240v version instead.
