Had this for about a year now. It has dealt with everything that's been asked of it including trimming down a laurel tree stump. With a fine tooth blade it makes easy work of kitchen worktops, giving a beautiful finished edge. Blade changing is simple and quick. Recommend without hesitation

After burning out a cheap circular saw. I decided to take the plunge & purchase this product. I do a fair bit of DIY this saw is excellent; like a hot knife through butter on various woods & thicknesses. The blade it comes with gives excellent results & the 48tooth Bosch blade purchased separately gives a nice finish in various materials. Slight downside is the extra weight; but didn't affect my bad back. It makes a change to have a well made storage box supplied to keep saw in and also take spare blades I'd recommend this product to anyone with a score of 5/5.

I bought this saw to help build a hexagonal gazebo. So lots of rip cuts, cross cuts and bevel cuts. It has performed really well. It feels solid and strong and has survived a few drops onto concrete. Itâs a little heavy, but that is no bad thing as itâs not really the kind of tool to wield casually one-handed.
It went through everything pretty easily though I was rarely cutting deeper than 100mm. It will be set back by knots so be ready to slow up a bit for them.
The fence guide works well and is usefully calibrated, but note that you canât cut less than 3cm from the edge. Not unreasonable as it would be hard to get closer without flexing problems and usually you can just work from the other side.
The cable is that nice rubbery kind that snakes fluidly.
The case is extremely solid and will be useful for those who want to travel with the saw but it is very bulky for domestic storage.
There are tracking guide marks for 0 and 45 degrees (it will tilt to 68%). I do recommend you wear safety goggles if doing careful cuts. The trouble is that every power tool you buy these days tells you to wear safety goggles so it is easy to ignore. The issue here is that the saw cuts upwards so if you put your face close to watch the cut carefully you can get chips in the eye â unlikely to be serious but enough to irritate.
Bosch still seem to be having trouble with their Allen Key Retention Device Design Department and this one fails to do the job in accordance with tradition. I recommend putting a cable tie on as soon as you get this machine before you use it and lose it. As the blades donât need frequent changing (I am still on the supplied blade) it is no great inconvenience.
