Bosch AHS 65-34 65cm 700W Electric Hedge Trimmer 240V
Not for the faint hearted
I have 60 meters of farmerâs adjacent hawthorn hedge to trim 3 to 4 times every summer. Previously I have used a combination of long handle shears, secateurs, underrated battery trimmers and pruning poles. This took almost a day of blood, sweat and toil. Having hit 65 I decided to spend a bit more than usual and acquired this Bosch AHS 65-34 65cm 700W Electric Hedge Trimmer 240V.
Wow! It is great. ! One dayâs job done in one hour. Remarkably light, little or no vibration and well balanced. Tackles thick branches like a âa hot knife through butterâ. Handy side grips for sideward cutting. I never felt fatigued during usage.
I cannot recommend this Bosch produce enough. Should come with a government health warning for hawthorn hedges.

A good tool
I bought this to replace my previous B&D hedge trimmer. It is good quality and powerful. The only criticism I have is the instructions which could be better. I use it to cut an ivy hedge and several fir trees. It copes well. I require a mains tool as I only trim items once per year. I feared that a battery would not last if left idle for 11 months. I marked reliability as good because I have only had the tool for a few days. Ask me the same question in two years time.

Quality and Robust.
Ordered afternoon of 21st Aug arrived before 9.30am on 22nd. Huge leylandi hedge cut by 1pm. Coped easily with woody branches (up to 34mm) with a saw action. Delighted with the size, weight. Ok I am 6'3" so reach not an issue but gives a good even finish as blade long enough to sweep a big area in one go. Plenty of power and switches easy to operate . Cord a generous length compared to ones I have owned in past. Makes the job easy to do compared to struggling with a trimmer not up to task. Comes with a blade cover for storage and would recommend without hesitation if you have any Laurel, Berberis or Leylandi to keep in check. Surprised how little vibration considering size.
