Photocell lasted one night, then wouldnt turn off even in bright sunshine at 08:30am.
Very plastic looking, wasnt too bothered that the photocell packed in because it gave me the oportunity to take it back.
Thats how unhappy I was with the look and quality of the light.

I have fitted a few of these and have not had one fail yet. They are very easy to install and are pretty robust. I never fit metal lanterns anymore as the paint falls off after a couple of months and they look tatty. Screwfix sell these cheaper than my electrical wholesalers !

Had one of these for a couple of years.
Initially it seemed ok but IP44 isn't enough to keep all the insects out.
The unit has now failed. The compact fluoresent was dead with arcing having melted one contact.. and the PIR relay contact had failed too.
Further investigation showed the body had split at both for the top's fixing screws.
I'll buy metal next time.

Even then insert transparent panels are plastic. But perhaps it will therefore be robust against the elements.
Instructions were clear and easy to wire (after fixing the base to the wall you wire into that and the lantern 'plugs' onto the base) and though it's on its first night of use, it works.
The photocell can be used to control a slave lamp and as such comes with an additional terminal and cable entry.
Doesn't come with screws/plugs to attached base to wall or a bulb. Have fixed a low energy 20w bulb (1100 lumens) which is working fine.
