Rated 4 out of 5Â by diy60 adequate winch
have used it to move 2.7T boat trailer. can move it on smooth slipway had problems with mud but fine on slipway.
also moved it to load car bodyshell weighing over 1T on trailer.
isn't quietest winch around but works
the towball plate works reasonable well
it can be used to wind out if battery connections are reversed
freewheel and winding handle both work
not as powerful as more expensive winches but is good value at price.

Got one of these a month or two ago, first time I tried to use it, it just made a grinding noise . . . . . save your money and get a proper winch!

This is not a winch...It only pulls...so you cant use it for most things...there is no way you can reverse the winch. So if you are pulling something and want to take off the hook..You cant...its about as much good as a chocolate teapot.

Rated 4 out of 5 Good Buy
Have only used this a few times but it does exactly what it claims to. Ours is kept in dry conditions, so we can't vouch for what would happen if it were exposed to weather for any length of time, but the quality seems reasonable, the performance adequate for occaisional use and the value for money is excellant. I bought it for a specific job, but can see myself using it more often, if only to save my aging back.
