I bought this to assist me getting out of trouble and moving broken branches whilst greenlaning.
I'm aware the capacity is not a full on off road winch, but it'll happily pull you out of a rut.
It's design allows an easy fitment to a towing hitch or using a shackle, a towing eye on the front of the vehicle can be used.
I've read this winch can be used to unwind a load as well as its designed pull only. This is achieved just by reversing the polarity on the battery clips, but I haven't tried this yet.
A mobile 12volt winch with infinite uses.

Excellent value and well made. Does what it says it would do.
A quick release mechanism to allow cable to be withdrawn would be a good feature to add!

have used it to move 2.7T boat trailer. can move it on smooth slipway had problems with mud but fine on slipway.
also moved it to load car bodyshell weighing over 1T on trailer.
isn't quietest winch around but works
the towball plate works reasonable well
it can be used to wind out if battery connections are reversed
freewheel and winding handle both work
not as powerful as more expensive winches but is good value at price.

Got one of these a month or two ago, first time I tried to use it, it just made a grinding noise . . . . . save your money and get a proper winch!
