15mm Pipe Repair Push Fit
push fit pipe repair
I found this item very useful when I fitted a new shower, it is so easy to fit and take off again, I would recommend to anybody doing a bit of plumbing.

A low cost burst fix?
Bought a few of these items as an outside building has multiple bursts after a very cold winter when the system was not drained down.
Some of the bursts are in straight pipe sections and can be fixed relatively quickly and easily this way, with minimal tools.
This still leaves a few other bursts (such as an end cap blown off) which need other types of fix.
A useful DIY fix for some pipe bursts, but obviously not for all. Must drain down the system next winter!

Quick and Easy
These are very quick and easy to use and I will definitely use again. One thing to watch out for is to make sure you push it all the way in first time as when I took one off to reposition, the o ring became dislodged - although they're not too difficult to put back in.

...how easy it was to repair my leaking pipe with this. Had a split water pipe outdoors following recent freeze, was concerned at prospect (& cost) of getting a plumber out to fix it, so thought I would have a go myself. Switched off water at the stopcock, hacked out the offending section of pipe, filed down the 2 ends to make sure they wouldn't shred the seals in the new fitting, and pushed it on. Job's a good 'un, all done for under a fiver and in about half an hour!
