These Incaoly elements are more corrosion resistant than the basic copper type so are better value overall.
Dont forget to buy an Immersion spanner , if you dont have one already.
I find that the "box spanner" type give a better grip and are easier to use.
Its not the fitting thats a problem but the removal, if you have one to take out.

This element works fine as you'd expect an immersion element to work. The thermostat however, although it has calibration marks on its dial has no numbers so which way is high and which way is low is trial and error!!! I followed the configuration of all other thermostats and got lucky.

I've fitted several of these, but this last one totally failed to work. Switching the power on immediately tripped the main fuse. Also on these budget heaters the thermostat rod even looks poor quality and too many have failed. Fantastic price but you get what you pay for. Better ones are only a few pounds more.
