1.8m Aerial Mast
Bought this just prior to Xmas and fitted to the gable end of the house. The tube finish seemed ok but the tube wall was quite thin. Clamping to the mounting bracket it seemed that the tube would begin to squeeze out of shape really easy. I eased off and repositioned the clamp but it certainly wasn't as rigid as the old tube it was replacing. It swayed quite considerably in the lightest of breezes and within 3 weeks, after the first strong blow, it bent at the clamping point. I've since removed it and put the old one back.Examining one against the other it seems to me that the wall of the tube is quite thin and inherently weak. Sad to say it was a complete waste of time and money buying and fitting it.

Non rust which is great and even at full extension with a large aerial and strong winds very little flexing.

Not fit for purpose.
Snapped! Not wind proof at all, quite thin alloy tubing. Need I say more.

Does the job...
I wouldn't expect this to hold up to serious storm force winds, especially with a larger aerial on the top, but for what I used it for (28 element log periodic) it was just fine.
