How do I use my Screwfix Vouchers?

If you are signed in to Screwfix.com, click on Checkout, go direct to the 'Order Details' page and use your vouchers by clicking on the link in the right hand side of the Payment Detail Section. If you have more than one voucher you will need to enter each voucher's details one at a time. Enter voucher ID & Security Code into relevant fields (these are located on the top right hand corner of your voucher).

If you have not saved your details then proceed through the Checkout process and at the Payment page select the voucher option button. If you have more than one voucher you will need to enter each voucher's details one at a time.

I have a credit account, can I still order online?

Yes. Once you have filled your trolley and have reached the checkout, you are either taken to the 'Check Order Details' page, or asked to sign in. You may continue to the checkout as an unknown customer and do not have to sign in.

  1. Going to the checkout when signed in
  2. When you check out, if you have already saved a credit card for payment, you will be taken directly to the 'Check Order Details' page. To pay by Account, simply click on the 'Change' button next to 'Payment details'. There are 4 icons: 'Card', 'Account', 'Voucher' and 'Print' on this page. Click on the 'Account' icon.

    Enter your Screwfix Account Name and Number into the fields provided and click 'continue'. The 'Check Order Details' will now reflect your Account Name and Number.

  3. Going to the checkout without signing in
  4. During the Checkout process, as an anonymous user (you have not previously saved your details), on the screen titled 'Payment Details', there are 4 icons: 'Card', 'Account', 'Voucher' and 'Print'. Click on the 'Account' icon. Enter your Screwfix Account Name and Number into the fields provided and click 'continue'. The 'Check Order Details' will now reflect your Account Name and Number.

Note:
• Your Account Name and Number will have been provided by Screwfix when your account was activated.
• If the wrong account number is entered this will delay your order.

What does it mean to sign in / save my details?

Sign In is a feature offered by us to make your Checkout process quicker and easier.

You will have the choice of saving your details once, then simply entering a username and password for all future transactions.

The benefits? You can also view your order history, set up multiple delivery addresses and include multiple forms of payment for future transactions.

I have a new credit / debit card, how do I amend my online card details?

  1. Sign in with your username and password.
  2. Click on 'Payment Details', which is situated on the left of the Welcome screen in the 'My Account' section.
  3. For each card you wish to remove, click on the 'remove card' link, which is situated to the right of that payment detail.

If you have already done this and your payment details are still reverting to the expired card follow these further instructions:

  1. Go to the 'Check Order Details' page.
  2. Click on the payment details link 'Change your payment details', which is situated to the right of the payment details section.
  3. Select the card with the valid information.
  4. Click on 'continue'

Am I able to amend my order once it's submitted?

No. Once 'submit order' is clicked, your order is sent immediately to our warehouse to process for delivery. You cannot then amend or cancel the order.

How do I return faulty items?

  1. You will need your order reference number and the details of the item to be returned.
  2. Email: online@screwfix.com or phone Customer Services on: 0500 41 41 41
  3. We will immediately arrange for collection of the item by one of our carriers.
  4. Return the item in its original condition, including packaging and obtain proof of return from the carrier. We will then despatch a replacement from our Distribution Centre or process a refund once your returns are received.

How do I know if an item is in stock?

All products available for next-day delivery on Screwfix.com are ex-stock and available for same day despatch. If you enter a quote number and the item is not found or it states 'back soon' in the quantity field the product is currently unavailable. Big Stuff items are despatched directly from our suppliers and are available for 7, 14 or 21 day delivery. An item can sometimes go out of stock before your order is fulfilled. Should this happen, we will notify you.

Why do items and prices vary from catalogue to website?

Screwfix.com is updated daily with the latest offers and products available from all current Screwfix catalogues. The prices offered online are the lowest prices available from all those current catalogues. Put simply the Screwfix.com website always delivers "the latest range at the lowest prices".

Can I See ex. VAT prices or vice versa?

Yes. You can change the display of prices from including to excluding VAT (and vice versa) by clicking on the 'view prices inc./ex. VAT' text link . Note: Any Inc/Ex. VAT totals shown on pages are indicative. A VAT invoice will be sent with your order.

Can I have my order delivered to a different address?

Yes. There is an opportunity for you to enter delivery address details on the address page of the Checkout. Or, if you are registered with Screwfix, you can add in additional addresses in 'My Account'.

Can I track my order?

Yes. If you have saved your details with Screwfix.com, you can view the status of orders placed after 16 January 2003. You will be able to track your order progress through links to our carriers. Order tracking is a feature available from 'My Account'. Click here to check the status of your order now. NOTE: Items marked 7/14 or 21 days cannot be tracked as they are despatched directly from the supplier.

Why is my order sometimes delayed?

We despatch tens of thousands of parcels each week to tradesmen, maintenance professionals and corporate customers UK wide for next day delivery. In some cases a small number of parcels may be delayed, however we pride ourselves that over 97% of all orders received by 6pm will be delivered next day (to next day delivery areas).
